I witnessed and participated in a blessed, joyful and uplifting event for hundreds of mainly Nigerian christian immigrants in Houston who worshipped earlier today in celebration of Easter at their church in southwest Houston.

The remarkable message of the day was the special 2012 Easter sermon and moving prayer by the church Pastor Rev. James Ohaju on the power of resurrection and overcoming afflictions. Rev. James Thomas served as a co-officiating minister.

There was a renewal of baptism for the parishioners.
Several new and returning members were at today's service.

At the end of the church services, there were prayers outside the sanctuary over the new 16-seater Ford evangelism bus which was bought through funds raised by the open solicitation of pledges/support from members by Rev. Ohaju at the church service of Sunday March 11, 2012. It is the first of such acquisition by the church, coordinated by the All Saints PCC.
